What to do:

Over the last two years in our school we have used a standardised PowerPoint template. We selected the background colours/font/size, the boxes, the outlines and so on.

All with evidence informed practice at the heart of the decisions. The theory and rationale behind it will be explained in a blog soon here.

So why not use/trial/try a standardised PowerPoint template in your lessons/subject/department/school?

Ask the students what they think?

For a website which hosts lots of different fonts check out www.DaFont.com

And check out this website for Free Icons! Here is some information on using Add Ons.

Variations:

Consider;

  • How many times does a student have to ask you what the title is? What you’re covering today?
  • How many different ways of doing the same thing do our students need to learn?
