For example…
- Live without music or live without T.V.?
- Eat a bar of soap or drink a bottle of dish washing liquid?
- Hold your pee forever or have an uncontrollable bladder?
- Be called a racist or a traitor to your country?
- Be trapped in an elevator with wet dogs or with three fat men with bad breath?
- Lose your legs or lose your arms?
- Have a beautiful house and an ugly car or an ugly house and a beautiful car?
- Be blind or deaf?
- Live in Antarctica or Death Valley?
- Find true love or 10 million dollars?
- Always say what’s on your mind or never speak again?
- Have pom-poms for hands or glow sticks for fingers?
- Be able to hear any conversation or take back what you said?
- End hunger or hatred?
- Always lose or never play?
- Fly when you fart or pee when you laugh?
- Know it all or have it all?
- Give bad advice or take bad advice?
- Have a mansion in the middle of nowhere or an apartment with 10 friends?

He then suggested turning these into learning activities…
Would you rather…BUT– I am suggesting the would you rather activities are SIMILAR in difficulty levels. And NOT any easier options.
- Describe photosynthesis by recalling the equation or Draw the process of photosynthesis
- List the features of a cactus that make it live in the desert or draw a cactus and for each labelled adaptation write a sentence on how that adaptation helps it survive in the desert
I really like this principle!
