What To Do:

The language we use about children matters.

These Reframing Language Posters aren’t about lowering expectations, excusing behaviour or pretending challenges don’t exist.

They’re about shifting from judgement to curiosity.

Instead of:

“They’re lazy.”
“They don’t care.”
“They need to try harder.”
“They’re having a meltdown.”

TRY asking:

What’s getting in the way?
What might this behaviour be communicating?
What support or adaptation could help?
How can I maintain ambition while changing the route?

20 common phrases.
20 simple reframes.
A quick toolkit for staffrooms, CPD, SEND teams and classroom practice.

Change the language. Change the question. Change the response.
