Shield yourself

What to do:

Why not get students to design their own shield that represents them. Their shield could include (see below) either as words or images/pictures/photos/drawings/colours?
  • What motivates them as learners
  • What barriers they feel they face
  • What strengths they feel teachers think they have
  • How could they be a better learner
The shields can then either be stuck in the students planners? On a learning wall? Just kept with the teacher for their reference. 

Copies should be given to the students for reflection. Maybe they can re-draw their shield at different points of the year. 

Variations:

Create one for yourself, as a teacher?
Create a shield for your form? class? school?
