Story telling memory

A good imagination!

What to do:

When asking students to memorise/learn/remember important information- such as dates, locations, case names, quotes…
Ask them to arrange the information into a line and turn them into a story!
The idea is to create an image/idea/movie in the mind to help retain the information.


  • Step 1- Organise pics/words into a line and simply make up your story.
  • Step 2- Read out the made up story with the pics.
  • Step 3- Read out the story without the pics/words but prompt where need be.
  • Step 4- Ask students to simply list what they now know/remember.
