INFORMATION ABOUT #TWITTERCOACHINGED 2016

Ask yourself…

  • Are you interested in moving forward to the next stage of your career? (Watch out for #BAMEed movement coming soon!)
  • Would you like general support/advice/guidance as an NQT? As a Subject Leader? As an leader?
  • Are you a new member of your schools Senior Leadership Team?
  • Do you want to talk to somebody in a similar situation or somebody who can become a bouncing board for ideas?
  • Are you in need of another perspective on things?
  • Do you want support with Teaching and Learning? Want to use more ICT in your lessons? Want to know more about Evidence informed practice?
  • Struggling to teach A level, a new specification?
  • Are you finding it difficult to keep up to date with all the changes in education?
OR can you can help answer any of the above question(s)?
  • First thing to do is fill in this Google document! CLICK HERE! This will allow me to gather information about your needs (coachees) and experiences (coaches).

  • Based on the information provided I will then match up coaches with coachees. This will enable me to ensure the right people are working together to help both improve practice.
  • I will then share both parties details along with the focus with all involved via a google doc.
  • Pairs to then hold coaching meetings along with making notes (use the coaching log) on their discussions.
  • Check on progress!
The idea/process is mapped out below.

Click here for a Dropbox folder with Coaching info/guidance doc/example questions and a coaching log!

More Details: Arranging the meeting times will be down to the coach and coachee. It is important that both parties are available fully at the organised times! Build up a relationship with each other. This idea is pretty simple… lets use the masses of experience out there to help others in the teaching profession. We may feel more comfortable talking to people virtually, which will allow us to open up and share our concerns/worries more.  There is really nothing in this for us, other than the satisfaction that ultimately teachers are getting better as professionals! Which will allow better outcomes for young people all over the UK.
Remember helping people can make us feel good! 🙂
