Lego

Resources:

Spare lego/board game pieces.

How It Works:

Give students pieces of lego/game bits and ask them to make/shape/create ‘something’ that links to a keyword/concept previously learnt.

For example:

Students can make a layout of a court room, design a flag, make some religious symbols, use a car and build a wall to show the effects of the london riots? And so on…

Aim of activity is to get students thinking creatively… getting them to rack their brains for the keywords and concepts learnt to link it to the items they have.

Use examination command words to prompt the descriptions of the students creations= e.g STATE- why you made that… EXPLAIN the importance of… JUSTIFY your use of… etc.
